The DRV5053CAQLPGQ1 is a single-axis linear Hall sensor with an analog voltage output — you get a voltage proportional to the magnetic field strength, no digital interface to configure. That temperature grade alone tells you this part is specced for engine bay, transmission, or brake-system duty where commercial-grade sensors would drift or fail. Supply voltage range is 2.5V to 38V. That wide window means you can power it directly from a 12V or 24V automotive battery bus without a local LDO — the sensor's own supply current max is 3.6 mA, so the thermal budget in the TO-92-3 package is minimal. The analog output can sink or source up to 2.3 mA, enough to drive a typical ADC input or a comparator directly. Sensing range is ±35 mT with a bandwidth of 20 kHz. The 20 kHz bandwidth covers most motor pole-passing frequencies and current-sense bandwidths in automotive actuators, but it's not fast enough for high-speed PWM ripple measurement above 20 kHz — the output will roll off.
