The DRV5032FDDMRT: The sensing range is ±4.8 mT trip, ±3 mT release, giving 1.8 mT of hysteresis that prevents output chatter when the magnetic field hovers near the threshold — a common failure mode in reed-switch replacement designs where mechanical bounce is absent but electrical noise is present. It is a unipolar switch that responds to both north and south poles, so the magnet orientation in the assembly is non-critical — either pole triggers the output, which simplifies fixture design and reduces tolerance stack-up concerns.
