Texas Instruments DRV5032FCDBZR is an omnipolar Hall effect switch — it responds to either a north or south pole field above the threshold, eliminating the need to track magnet orientation in the assembly. The ±4.8 mT operate point with ±0.5 mT release hysteresis gives clean switching on a passing magnet without chatter at the transition edge — the 0.5 mT deadband filters out field noise near the threshold.
Supply and power budget
Quiescent supply current maxes at 3.5 µA — low enough for battery-powered sensor nodes where the Hall sensor stays always-on and the MCU sleeps. Open-drain output sinks up to 5 mA — enough to drive a logic input or a low-current LED indicator, but needs a pull-up resistor to the rail.
Package and environment
SOT-23-3 package (TO-236 / SC-59 compatible) — a three-lead footprint with 0.95 mm pitch, standard for small-signal passives and Hall sensors, easy to hand-solder or reflow.
