Product details

Automotive Ethernet PHY for 1000Base-T1 links

The Texas Instruments DP83TG720RWRHATQ1 is a single-port automotive Ethernet transceiver supporting the IEEE 802.3 protocol at 1 Gbps data rate in both full and half duplex modes.

Dual supply rails and package

The transceiver requires two supply rails: a 0.95V to 1.1V core supply and a 2.97V to 3.63V I/O supply. The 36-VFQFN Exposed Pad package (6x6 mm body) provides a thermal pad for heat sinking; proper via stitching under the pad is recommended for continuous operation at elevated junction temperatures. The part is surface-mount only.

Frequently asked questions

Does DP83TG720RWRHATQ1 support 1000Base-T1 or only 100Base-T1?

The DP83TG720RWRHATQ1 supports 1 Gbps data rate per the IEEE 802.3 protocol, which corresponds to 1000Base-T1. It also supports full and half duplex modes, so it is not limited to 100Base-T1.
