10-bit voltage-output DAC in 8-VSSOP
The DAC101S101CIMM/NOPB is a Texas Instruments 10-bit digital-to-analog converter with a voltage-buffered output, built on a String DAC architecture. It converts a serial input word into an analog voltage between the supply rails, making it a direct-fit component for trimming, set-point generation, or sensor excitation in mixed-signal control loops. The single-channel converter settles to 0.5 LSB within 7.5 µs, which is fast enough for per-sample updates in a 100 kHz control loop without adding latency to the PID calculation.
Supply range and interface
The data interface accepts SPI and DSP-compatible frames, clocking in the 10-bit word on the rising edge of the serial clock. The supply-referenced architecture means the full-scale output voltage equals the supply voltage, eliminating the need for an external voltage reference.
