8-bit bus transceiver for 5V backplanes and industrial I/O
The CY74FCT543ATSOC from Cypress is an 8-bit non-inverting transceiver with 3-state outputs from the 74FCT logic family. Typical applications include bidirectional data buses in industrial controllers, telecom line cards, and memory-interface buffers where 5V logic levels are still in use.
The transceiver can source 32 mA and sink 64 mA per output. The 3-state outputs let multiple transceivers share the same bus lines.
The 24-SOIC (0.295", 7.50 mm width) is a standard JEDEC footprint shared with many 24-pin SOIC parts.
