2-channel single-ended mux — what it does and where it fits
The Texas Instruments CLC532AE-QML is a single-ended 2-channel multiplexer, built to route one of two analog or digital signal paths to a common output. In a Discrete Semiconductors lineup, it handles the same switching role as an analog switch but with the logic-controlled channel selection typical of a mux.
RoHS non-compliant — the legacy constraint
Marked RoHS non-compliant, the CLC532AE-QML uses lead-bearing solder finishes. That rules it out for new EU RoHS-required builds but keeps it viable for military, aerospace, and other exempt applications where tin whisker risk or process qualification demands legacy metallurgy. Supplied in Bulk — loose tubes or trays rather than tape-and-reel — so it feeds through standard pick-and-place lines that handle tube-fed or tray-fed parts, but may require a feeder change on high-volume reels-only lines.
