Active 74HCT FIFO with 64-bit depth
The CD74HCT40105M is a Texas Instruments 74HCT-series asynchronous FIFO with a 64-bit memory organized as 16 words by 4 bits.
Asynchronous depth and width expansion
The FIFO supports expansion in both depth and width, allowing multiple devices to be cascaded for larger buffer sizes without external logic. The asynchronous interface means no clock is needed for the read/write handshake — the data moves on the status flags alone. It does not support FWFT (First-Word Fall-Through) or programmable flags, so the output data appears after the read request and the flag thresholds are fixed. Retransmit capability is absent, meaning once data is read it is gone — no rewind.
