That means no last-time-buy deadline, no PCN-driven scramble. This is a standard-production 74HCT buffer still rolling off TI's lines, so new designs can commit to it without obsolescence risk.
5 V rail, military temp, modest drive
This is a dual-element non-inverting buffer with 3-state outputs, built in the 74HCT logic family. Output high and low current is 4 mA per pin — enough to drive a handful of CMOS inputs or a short backplane trace, but not a relay coil or an LED bank.
Two elements, mixed bit widths
The part contains two independent buffer elements: one with 2 bits and the other with 4 bits, giving a total of six buffers in a single 16-SOIC package. The 3-state outputs share a common enable per element, so you can gate whole buses independently.
