Octal D-type register with master reset
The CD74HCT273E is an 8-bit D-type flip-flop from the 74HCT family, packaged in a 20-pin PDIP (0.300" body) for through-hole assembly. It clocks on the positive edge and includes a master-reset input that clears all eight flip-flops asynchronously. The 50 MHz clock ceiling sets the maximum data rate for register-to-register transfers through the 30 ns propagation delay (at 4.5 V, 50 pF load).
Temperature grade and output drive
This covers avionics bay, engine-compartment, and downhole logging environments where the ambient sees extremes well beyond industrial -40°C to +85°C. The 4 mA source/sink per output drives standard TTL loads or a single LS TTL input directly — no extra buffer needed for a 74LSxx fan-out of 10. Input capacitance is 10 pF typical per pin, so the clock-line loading from eight flip-flops plus the reset line stays under 100 pF — well within the drive capability of a 74HCT244 line driver at 50 MHz.
