Parametric note — speed and power budget
Max propagation delay is 24 ns at 4.5V with a 50 pF load — this sets the ceiling for the data path; the actual toggle rate at the receiver will be lower once the output rise time into the load capacitance is factored in. Quiescent current is just 2 µA max, making this gate suitable for power-sensitive boards where the logic block is idle most of the time. Output drive is 4 mA source and sink at the rated supply. Input logic thresholds are TTL-compatible: low at 0.8V max, high at 2V min — so it interfaces directly with 5V TTL outputs without a level translator.
