Quad 2-input XNOR in 14-SOIC
The CD74HC7266M: It integrates four independent XNOR gates in a single 14-SOIC package, each with two inputs, performing the logical equivalence function — output is high when both inputs match. Quiescent current maxes at 2 µA, making it suitable for battery-powered or power-sensitive boards where the logic idle draw must stay negligible.
Propagation delay and output drive
Maximum propagation delay is 30 ns at 6V supply with a 50 pF load. This sets the data-rate ceiling for the signal path — at 5V the delay is slightly higher, so budget the timing margin for the slowest supply corner when chaining multiple gates. Output drive capability is 5.2 mA for both high and low states. This is typical for HC-series logic; it drives one or two standard CMOS loads directly but needs a buffer for heavier fan-out or long PCB traces.
Temperature range and package fit
This qualifies the part for deployment in engine bays, outdoor telecom cabinets, and industrial enclosures where ambient temperature swings are extreme. Packaged in a 14-SOIC (0.154", 3.90mm width) with surface-mount termination. The supplier device package is also 14-SOIC, so the footprint is standard — no special land pattern required beyond the JEDEC MS-012 variation.
ROHS3 compliant — no exemptions for lead in solder or other restricted substances, which simplifies EU and UKCA market entry.
