16:1 analog mux for signal routing in harsh environments
The Texas Instruments CD74HC4067SM96 is a single-circuit 16:1 analog multiplexer/demultiplexer in a 24-SSOP package. On-state resistance is 160 Ohm max, with channel-to-channel matching of 8.5 Ohm, keeping insertion loss consistent across all paths. The 89 MHz -3 dB bandwidth supports analog signals well into the HF band, making it usable for RF switching up to low VHF frequencies.
Supply voltage and switching speed for mixed-voltage designs
The 2V to 6V single-supply range lets the part operate from 3.3V or 5V rails without level translation. Switching times are 51 ns (Ton) and 49 ns (Toff) max, fast enough for audio multiplexing, sensor scanning, and moderate-speed data acquisition. Leakage current is 800 nA max off-channel, and off-channel capacitance is 5 pF (CS(off)) with 50 pF on the common drain (CD(off)). These figures matter for high-impedance analog inputs: the 50 pF on the common node loads the signal source when multiple channels are deselected.
