Single 8-input NAND in the 74HC family
The CD74HC30NSR is a single 8-input NAND gate from Texas Instruments' 74HC series, packaged in a 14-SOIC surface-mount body. It takes eight logic inputs and outputs the NAND result — a high when any input is low, a low only when all eight are high. The -55°C to 125°C operating temperature span means it works in the same enclosure as a hot-running microcontroller or a sensor exposed to outdoor ambient. Output drive is 5.2mA source and sink — enough to switch a downstream logic input or a low-power LED indicator, but not a relay coil. Propagation delay is 22ns typical at 6V with a 50pF load, which keeps the gate responsive in control loops running below about 45 MHz.
