16-pin DIP integration — footprint and supply rails
The CD74HC194E: Through-hole mounting suits socketed prototypes, breadboard bring-up, or legacy board repairs where a DIP footprint is already on the layout. The push-pull output stage drives standard CMOS loads directly; no external pull-up resistors are needed on the data lines.
Temperature grade and operating envelope
The 74HC family's CMOS logic thresholds scale with Vcc, so the noise margin at 125°C is still defined by the supply rail, not by a fixed TTL threshold.
