Product details

Active production — what the 3 ns propagation delay means for your bus

The CD74ACT373E is an active-production Texas Instruments 74ACT-series D-type transparent latch with tri-state outputs, packaged in a 20-pin PDIP (0.300" body). The 3 ns max propagation delay sets the data-to-output settling window — in a 5 V system clocked at 50 MHz, the latch meets hold times without adding a wait state on the bus. Output drive is rated 24 mA sink and source, enough to fan out to eight standard TTL loads or drive a 50 pF bus capacitance at the rated speed without external buffers.

Temperature grade and supply range — where this latch fits

A system that sees -40°C cold soak and 105°C case temperature has margin on both ends.

Through-hole PDIP-20 with 0.300" row spacing and 0.100" pin pitch — a standard breadboard-friendly footprint that also solders into a plated-through-hole PCB with no special pad geometry. The 8-bit transparent latch with tri-state outputs maps directly to an address/data bus or a registered I/O bank; the 8:8 circuit count means all eight latches are independent under one enable.
