65536-count programmable timer with wide supply range
The CD4541BPWR is a programmable timer IC that generates a time interval based on an external RC network. Its 65536-count binary counter divides the oscillator frequency down to produce the output pulse — the count depth sets the maximum time-out period at a given RC value. Maximum oscillator frequency is 100 kHz, which with the 16-bit counter gives a time-out range from microseconds to several seconds depending on the RC components chosen. Supply voltage spans 3 V to 20 V — this wide operating window means the timer runs on the same rail as 5 V logic, 12 V industrial buses, or a 15 V analog supply without a separate regulator.
Military temperature grade and package fit
In practice, this means it survives the thermal extremes of an outdoor telecom enclosure, an engine-bay controller, or a cold-chain sensor node without derating.
