Programmable timer with wide count range
The CD4536BE is a programmable timer from Texas Instruments that generates time delays from 2 to 2²⁴ counts (over 16 million) using an external resistor and capacitor to set the oscillator frequency up to 5 MHz. Operating from a 3V to 18V supply, it draws only 3 mA typical, making it suitable for battery-backed or low-power timing applications across industrial and military temperature ranges (-55°C to 125°C).
Through-hole DIP package and board integration
Supplied in a tube, the part is ready for manual insertion or low-volume pick-and-place with DIP-compatible feeders.
The device is ROHS3 compliant, meeting the current EU restriction on hazardous substances for lead-free soldering processes.
