Buffer with 3-state outputs for 5V automotive bus isolation
Each of the four elements handles a single bit, with independent output-enable control per channel. The 3-state outputs let you isolate multiple bus nodes on the same line, which is the usual need in an automotive ECU where a sensor interface, a gateway, and a body controller share a data bus.
The 8 mA output drive (both high and low) is enough to fan out to four or five standard CMOS loads at 5 V, but if the downstream bus has a higher capacitive load or long trace, budget a buffer per signal group. The 3-state high-impedance state lets the output float, so multiple buffers can share a line without contention.
Temperature range and automotive qualification
The AEC-Q100 qualification means this part has passed the stress tests automotive OEMs require — temperature cycling, high-temperature operating life, and ESD robustness. For a BOM that needs a 5 V bus buffer in an engine control unit or transmission controller, this is the grade to specify.
14-TSSOP footprint — board-level fit
The 0.65 mm pin pitch is standard for this family, and the package outline matches the industry-standard TSSOP-14 footprint. No special reflow profile beyond the usual lead-free solder process.
Lifecycle and sourcing posture
ROHS3 compliant.
