Li-Ion stack protection — 2 to 4 series cells
The Texas Instruments BQ771601DPJT is a battery protection IC designed for Lithium-Ion packs configured in 2 to 4 series cells. Its sole protection function is over-voltage detection, tripping when any cell in the stack exceeds the threshold, which prevents the charger from driving a cell into an unsafe voltage region. Operating across -40°C to 110°C (TA), the device suits both consumer portable electronics and industrial battery packs that see temperature extremes during charge or discharge cycles.
Package and board-fit for the BOM
Supplied in an 8-WDFN exposed-pad package (8-WSON, 3x4 mm), the BQ771601DPJT is a surface-mount part.
