Single-cell fuel gauge with multi-chemistry support
The Texas Instruments BQ34210IPWRQ1 is a single-cell battery power management IC that handles multiple chemistries — Li-ion, LiFePO4, lead-acid, and others — through a common I²C interface. It monitors one series cell (1S) and reports state-of-charge, voltage, current, and temperature over the two-wire bus.
What the AEC-Q100 rating means for the BOM
This means the IC has passed the full reliability stress battery — temperature cycling, ESD, latch-up, and extended life tests — required for tier-1 automotive supply. ROHS3 compliance is confirmed, so the part clears EU RoHS and similar restricted-substance regulations without an exemption.
The 14-pin TSSOP is a common form factor for analog mixed-signal ICs; the 0.65 mm pitch routes comfortably on a two-layer board with 0.25 mm traces.
