Two digital interfaces are available: HDQ (a single-wire TI-proprietary protocol) and standard I²C, giving the system designer flexibility in host MCU selection and bus topology. The operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C (TA) covers industrial and outdoor portable equipment but stops short of automotive under-hood requirements — for that, the BQ79612PAPRQ1 carries a -40°C to 125°C range and AEC-Q100 qualification.
