The I²C interface lets a host MCU read voltage, current, temperature, and state-of-charge without a dedicated ADC channel. The 12-DSBGA package measures roughly 2.2 mm x 2.0 mm — the board layout must route the I²C lines away from switching noise on the battery path. The Impedance Track™ algorithm compensates for cell aging and temperature, so the gauge stays accurate over the battery's service life without periodic full-cycle recalibration.
