Single-cell fuel gauge with Impedance Track
The BQ27441DRZT-G1A is a single-cell Li-Ion battery fuel gauge from TI's Impedance Track™ series, using the patented algorithm to report remaining capacity and state-of-charge over I²C. The single-cell limit means it won't work with a 2S pack without external balancing.
I²C bus and package fit
Communication runs over I²C, so any MCU with an I²C peripheral can pull the gauge data. No SPI or SMBus translation needed—just two pull-up resistors and the bus lines. The supplier device package is 12-SON (2.5x4 mm), identical to the 12-VFDFN case code. That 2.5x4 mm footprint is tight—confirm the land pattern in the datasheet before layout, especially the pad-to-pad clearance for the exposed centre pad.
