I²C communication and 1-cell focus
The I²C interface is the standard for battery management — it shares the bus with other peripherals and needs only two wires. The BQ27220 is strictly a 1-cell monitor; if your design stacks 2–4 cells, you are looking at the BQ2084 series instead.
The 9-DSBGA package is lead-free compatible with standard reflow profiles.
