Single-cell Li-ion gauge with I²C
The BQ27200DRKR is a single-cell battery monitor from TI's bqJUNIOR™ series, designed for Lithium Ion/Polymer packs. It communicates over an I²C interface, reporting voltage, temperature, and state-of-charge data to a host controller. The operating temperature range is -20°C to 70°C, suited for consumer portable devices like smartphones, tablets, and handheld instruments — not for automotive or extended industrial environments.
10-VSON package — layout notes
The part comes in a 10-VFDFN with exposed pad, supplier device package 10-VSON (3x4 mm). Surface-mount only.
Single-cell only — no 2-cell support
The BQ27200DRKR is specified for 1-cell battery packs only. It cannot monitor a 2-cell series stack directly — the voltage range and fuel-gauging algorithm are calibrated for a single Lithium Ion/Polymer cell. For multi-cell applications, look at the bq20zxx or bq30zxx family from TI.
