I²C control and fault envelope
Communication runs over I²C, so the host MCU reads voltage, current, and temperature data and sets protection thresholds through register writes. The fault protection block — over-current, over-temperature, over-voltage — latches off the output if any limit is exceeded, which saves the battery pack from runaway conditions. No separate comparator or supervisor IC needed for basic cell monitoring.
Active lifecycle status — no end-of-life notice, no last-time-buy pressure. ROHS3 compliant.
