The BQ25628RYKR accepts a maximum supply voltage of 18V, which covers USB-C PD at 15V and 12V wall adapters without an external front-end clamp. The 2A maximum charge current is the practical fast-charge ceiling for a single 1S Li-Ion or Li-Polymer cell in a handheld or portable device — above 2A the 3x2.5 mm QFN package thermal impedance (junction-to-ambient) becomes the limiting factor.
