I²C-controlled single-cell charger in a 30-ball DSBGA
It integrates fault protection for overcurrent, overtemperature, and overvoltage conditions, and supports constant-current programmable charging with adjustable current and timer features via the I²C bus.
1.5 A charge current and 4.52 V battery pack voltage
The maximum charge current of 1.5 A sets the ceiling for charge rate. The battery pack regulation voltage is 4.52 V. The input supply can go up to 13.5 V.
This is a 30-ball DSBGA on 0.4 mm pitch. That's a fine-pitch BGA with no peripheral leads — it will need a hot-air rework station with a micro-nozzle and a preheat plate underneath. The solder balls are under the package, so visual inspection after reflow is limited; X-ray is the practical check for shorts or voids. The package marking is small — confirm pin 1 orientation from the datasheet before placing it. Moisture sensitivity is MSL 1 per TI's standard for this package family, but if the reel has been open longer than the floor life, a bake at 125°C for 48 hours is the safe call before reflow.
