Single-cell Li-Ion charger with I²C programmability
The Texas Instruments BQ25150YFPT is a single-cell Li-Ion/Polymer linear charger IC that delivers a programmable charge current up to 500 mA via an I²C interface. The device integrates overcurrent, overvoltage, overtemperature, reverse-current, and short-circuit fault protection — a complete charge-management solution for space-constrained portable equipment.
The 500 mA maximum charge current sets the charging rate for a single 4.2 V Li-Ion cell. The I²C programmability lets firmware adjust the current on the fly.
