Chemistry and voltage match
This part is specifically tailored for LiFePO4 cells with a battery pack voltage of 3.5V. It is not a general-purpose Li-ion or LiPo charger — those chemistries require a different termination voltage. The USB interface means the input can come directly from a USB port or a 5V regulated supply.
