10 A multi-chemistry charger with 24 V input ceiling
The Texas Instruments BQ24750RHDTG4 is a multi-chemistry battery charger IC in a 28-VFQFN exposed pad package. It handles 2 to 4 series cells with a programmable constant-current charge up to 10 A max, fed from a supply rail up to 24 V.
Charge current and pack voltage ceiling
The 10 A max charge current sets the ceiling for fast-charge applications — a 5 Ah pack charges at 2 C rate. The maximum battery pack voltage is 18.048 V, which corresponds to a fully charged 4S Li-ion pack (4.2 V/cell × 4 = 16.8 V) plus headroom for balancing or termination voltage. The 24 V supply maximum supports standard 19 V laptop adapters or 24 V industrial rails with margin for regulation tolerance.
Fault protection and temperature grade
Built-in over-current and over-voltage fault protection guards the charge path against adapter surges or a failed cell.
Surface-mount assembly with Tape & Reel packaging supports automated pick-and-place for volume production.
