Product details

Charger parametrics and protection set

The BQ24741RHDT is a Li-ion/Polymer battery charger IC supporting 2 to 4 series cells with a maximum battery pack voltage of 18.048 V. Charge current is constant and programmable up to 10 A. Integrated fault protection covers overcurrent, overtemperature, overvoltage, and short-circuit conditions — the IC monitors the charge loop and shuts down or throttles to protect the battery and the system rail. Operating junction temperature spans -40°C to 125°C, which suits industrial and consumer enclosures where the charger sits near a hot battery pack or power stage.

Package and board-fit notes

Supplied in a 28-VFQFN exposed pad package (5x5 mm body), surface-mount only. The supplier device package is 28-VQFN (5x5), identical to the package/case.

Texas Instruments has marked the BQ24741RHDT as obsolete. The IC is no longer manufactured or supported by TI for new designs. Quantities are lot-specific; each shipment is verified for authenticity and RoHS compliance.
