24V max input, I²C-programmable Li-Ion charger
The BQ24707RGRR is a Li-Ion battery charger IC supporting 1 to 4 cells with a maximum battery pack voltage of 19.2V. It operates from a supply rail up to 24V, making it suitable for notebook and portable equipment power architectures that run on a 19V adapter bus. Charge current is constant and programmable via the I²C interface, allowing firmware to adjust the charge profile without changing external resistors. The integrated fault protection covers over-current, over-voltage, and short-circuit conditions.
1-4 cell flexibility with 20-VQFN footprint
The 20-VFQFN exposed-pad package (3.5x3.5 mm body) keeps the PCB footprint compact. Compared to resistor-programmable chargers in the same family, the I²C interface reduces BOM component count by eliminating the charge-current and voltage-setting resistor dividers. The 1-4 cell range covers 2-cell (7.4V) and 4-cell (14.8V) packs without a hardware change.
