LiFePO4 charger with 10A capacity
The Texas Instruments BQ24630RGET is a dedicated Lithium Iron Phosphate battery charger IC, designed for constant-current constant-voltage charging of LiFePO4 packs from 1 to 7 series cells. The charge current is constant and programmable up to 10A maximum, making this part suitable for medium-to-high capacity battery packs in power tools, e-bikes, and backup power systems.
Input voltage and pack voltage limits
Maximum supply voltage is 28V, and the battery pack voltage can go up to 26V.
Protection and programmability
Built-in fault protection covers overcurrent, overtemperature, overvoltage, and short-circuit conditions, reducing external component count for a robust charging solution. Programmable features include charge current and charge timer, allowing the designer to tailor the charging profile to the specific battery capacity and safety requirements.
Housed in a 24-VFQFN Exposed Pad package (4x4 mm body), the BQ24630RGET is surface-mount.
