The BQ24315DSGR is a dedicated Li-Ion battery protection IC from Texas Instruments, integrating over-current, over-temperature, and over/under-voltage fault detection into a single 8-WSON package.
The 2x2 mm footprint and 0.50 mm pitch keep the board area small, but the exposed pad requires a solder paste stencil aperture that covers at least 50% of the pad area to avoid voids under the die attach.
