The BQ24314ADSGT is a Texas Instruments battery protection IC designed for single-cell Lithium Ion packs. It integrates the charge FET and protection FET along with the monitoring and control logic in a single 8-WSON (2x2) package. Fault protection covers over-current, over-temperature, and over/under-voltage events — the three failure modes that drive thermal runaway in Li-Ion cells.

125°C junction — margin for tight enclosures

That 125°C ceiling gives headroom in a sealed battery compartment where the cell and charger share the same PCB and the ambient inside the enclosure runs 10–15°C above the outside air. The 8-WFDFN exposed pad pulls heat into the board copper.
