What the BQ24305DSGR covers — and what it doesn't
The BQ24305DSGR is a single-chip Li-Ion battery protection IC from Texas Instruments, packing overcurrent, overtemperature, and over/under voltage fault protection into an 8-WSON (2x2 mm) package.
Fault protection coverage and temperature grade
Four protection domains on one die: overcurrent, overtemperature, overvoltage, and undervoltage. That covers the common failure modes for a single-cell Li-Ion pack — charger runaway, load short, or cell imbalance. The 0°C to 125°C junction range suits commercial and industrial enclosures; it does not meet AEC-Q100 automotive grade, so keep it out of under-hood or cabin-domain designs.
