The Texas Instruments BQ24300DSGR is a single-chip Li-Ion battery protection IC that monitors the cell for over-current, over-temperature, and over/under-voltage faults. It is designed to sit between the charger input and the battery, disconnecting the cell when any fault threshold is exceeded.
