Single-cell Li-Ion linear charger with programmable current and timer
The Texas Instruments BQ24202DGNR is a linear charger IC for single-cell Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer battery packs, delivering a constant-current charge up to 500 mA maximum. It operates from a supply up to 13.5 V and integrates over-temperature and short-circuit fault protection, reducing the external component count for a compact charger design. The charge current and charge timer are programmable via external components, giving the designer control over charge rate and termination timing.
