Housed in a 49-DSBGA package measuring 2.8x2.8 mm, the BQ24167YFFT fits space-constrained designs such as wearable or handheld devices. The 2.5 A max charge current supports fast charging of a single-cell Li-Ion pack, but the thermal budget at that current must be evaluated against the board copper area — the DSBGA relies on the PCB pad for heat spreading. The USB interface allows direct connection to a USB VBUS rail, simplifying the input power path for portable gear.
