I²C-programmable charging for design flexibility
The I²C interface lets the system host set charge current, termination threshold, and other parameters in real time, which is useful for dynamic charging profiles or for supporting multiple battery chemistries on the same board. The charge current is constant and programmable, with a maximum of 2.5A — enough for fast charging a single-cell pack in a tablet or power bank.
Fault protection and thermal range
Built-in over-temperature and over-voltage protection reduces external component count and improves system reliability.
