1.25 A charge current with I²C programmability
The BQ24158YFFR is a single-cell Li-Ion/Li-Pol linear charger from Texas Instruments delivering up to 1.25 A of charge current via an I²C-controlled interface. The I²C bus lets you set the charge current and safety timer without external resistors — a space-saving advantage on a 20-DSBGA package.
Programmable current and timer via I²C
Charge current is constant and programmable through the I²C interface. The timer is also programmable, giving the host processor control over charge termination and safety timeout.
Fault protection and battery voltage ceiling
Built-in fault protection covers over-temperature and over-voltage conditions. The maximum battery pack voltage is 4.44 V, and the supply voltage ceiling is 6 V. The operating temperature range of -30°C to 85°C supports industrial and outdoor applications.
