It targets portable devices running from a 4.2V battery pack, with input supply tolerance up to 16V.
Programmable features and fault protection
Charge current and charge timer are programmable via external resistors, giving the designer control over the charge profile without an I²C bus. Over-temperature and over-voltage fault protection are integrated, so the charger shuts down safely if the die exceeds its thermal limit or the input voltage spikes above the 16V maximum.
