Single-cell Li-ion charger for automotive and industrial power rails
It delivers a programmable constant charge current up to 1A, with a fixed 4.2V battery regulation voltage, and includes a programmable safety timer to terminate charging on fault conditions. The 10-VSON (3x3) package with exposed pad provides a compact footprint for space-constrained ECU or sensor module designs while the pad aids thermal dissipation at the 1A charge rate.
Input voltage range and charge current programming
Maximum supply voltage is 6.5V, making the part suitable for 5V USB rails or regulated automotive supplies — not for direct 12V battery connection without a pre-regulator. Charge current is set by an external resistor (constant-current, programmable), and the safety timer is also resistor-programmable, allowing the designer to match the charge profile to the cell capacity and thermal budget of the enclosure.
