The BQ24032ARHLR delivers a programmable constant charge current up to 1.5 A for a single-cell Lithium Ion or Polymer battery pack at 4.2 V.
USB input and supply headroom
Rated for a 16 V maximum supply, the charger accepts USB bus power (5 V nominal) or unregulated wall adapters without an external pre-regulator. The USB interface allows direct connection to a standard USB port, with the charge current programmed via the ISET pin or a timer.
Protection set for unattended charging
On-chip fault protection covers over-temperature, reverse-current, and short-circuit conditions — the charger terminates the cycle or throttles current without external supervisory components. This reduces BOM count in portable or embedded designs where the battery is permanently connected.
