Gas gauge with Impedance Track — cell count and interface
The Texas Instruments BQ20Z75DBTR-V180 is a multi-function controller from the Impedance Track series, designed as a battery gas gauge for 2 to 4 series-connected Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer cells. It communicates over an SMBus interface, providing fuel-gauging data and fault monitoring to a host controller.
Fault protection set and temperature range
Built-in fault protection covers over-current, over-temperature, over/under-voltage, and short-circuit conditions — the controller can trigger a safety response without waiting for the host.
