Precision shunt reference for tight-regulation loops
The Texas Instruments ATL431LIBQDBZR is an adjustable shunt voltage reference in a SOT-23-3 package, offering a ±0.5% tolerance that tightens the feedback window in power supplies and data converters compared to the generic 1% TL431-class parts. Output voltage is adjustable from 2.5 V up to 36 V via two external resistors, covering the common reference rails for 3.3 V, 5 V, 12 V, and 24 V systems.
Low cathode current for battery-budget designs
The minimum cathode current of 100 µA allows the reference to operate with minimal bias overhead, which matters in always-on sensor nodes or portable instruments where every microamp counts. Maximum output current is 15 mA, so the ATL431LIBQDBZR can directly drive an optocoupler LED or a small load without an external buffer.
