Delta-sigma modulator for isolated analog front-ends
The AMC1035DR is a single-channel delta-sigma modulator that converts an analog input into a 16-bit digital bitstream. It is the front-end device in an isolated signal chain — the digital output couples across an isolation barrier to a digital filter on the receiving side, so the analog sense circuit and the controller side are galvanically separated. The supply range of 3V to 5.5V means the modulator runs off the same rail as the analog sensor or the ADC reference — no extra regulator for the modulator alone. The analog and digital supply pins share the same voltage range, so a single 3.3V or 5V rail feeds both sides.
The 8-SOIC package (0.154" body width, 3.90 mm) is a standard small-outline footprint. The supplier device package is 8-SOIC — the same 8-pin SOIC that hundreds of op-amps, comparators, and isolators use, so the PCB land pattern is already in most library footprints.
