What this quad RS-422/RS-485 receiver does
It converts differential bus signals to single-ended logic levels, with four independent receiver channels in a single 16-SOIC package. The 50 mV of receiver hysteresis provides noise rejection on long cable runs, reducing false triggering from reflections or common-mode noise.
